Brock Lesnar last engaged in a match at WWE SummerSlam 2023, ending up in defeat against Cody Rhodes.
As of now, Lesnar’s relationship with WWE remains shrouded in ambiguity. After a sex trafficking lawsuit got filed against John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, and WWE by Janel Grant, in which there was a mention of Lesnar, WWE took a step back from The Beast Incarnate.
WWE thereafter erased Lesnar from its agenda for forthcoming gatherings such as the 2024 Royal Rumble, the France-based Elimination Chamber, and the 40th edition of WrestleMania. Later information indicated that WWE’s legal counsel had not exonerated Lesnar, highlighting that his comeback was dependent on the settlement of these legal dilemmas.
While Lesnar was not specifically implicated in Grant’s lawsuit, The Wall Street Journal later revealed that the famed WWE/UFC sportsman was indeed the one alluded to in the legal suit.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently revealed talks within WWE about a possible surprise appearance by Lesnar at the 2025 Royal Rumble pay-per-view spectacle.
However, the prevailing circumstances will prevent WWE from involving Lesnar until those in positions of power and relevant legal institutions revise their standing. Once these preconditions are fulfilled, it will open the door to Lesnar’s imminent return.
