WWEs The Miz recently spoke with SunSport for a wide-ranging interview, where he spoke about his career, who he has on his Mount Rushmore of wrestlers, and his recent string of losses.

When asked which superstars would grace his personal Mount Rushmore, The Miz gave the first slow to the iconic Ultimate Warrior. He was my favourite as a child. Growing up there was no one bigger than the Ultimate Warrior.” The Miz went on to name Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena as two other members of the club, specifically mentioning that The Rock helped him turn back into a fan of the WWE.

“The Rock made me love WWE again,” he said. “Every time he talked, I wanted to hear what he was going to say next. Every time he was in the ring, I wanted to see what was going to happen.” As for Cena, The Miz credits the fact that Cena’s longevity and his incredible success at capturing the hearts and minds of the WWE Universe for so long as for why he earns a spot on The Miz’s Mount Rushmore. “The reason that Cena’s on there is that he led WWE for longer than any superstar. He’s sold more shirts and captivated more audiences than anybody. Out of anybody, he taught me the most in the ring. Just being in the ring with a person like John Cena, you find out, ‘This is what I have to do to become the top guy – to become the face of WWE.’”

The final member of The Miz’s Mount Rushmore was none other than the man himself, which he jokingly says is his answer for all four members. However, he did touch upon his recent string of losses, acknowledging that he hasn’t won much this year and saying he hasn’t inspired much hope in his ability to cash in on his Money in the Bank briefcase and win a title. Of course, all of that could change in an instant, so fans of The Miz will have to continue to hope that the superstar is able to turn things around this year.
