In an interview with TMZ, WWE’s The Miz expressed his thoughts on John Cena’s recent transformation into a villain during the WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto event. The Miz explained his belief that the audience will eventually want to see Cena shift back into a heroic role once they’ve had their fill of his ‘heel’ character.
The Miz vividly emphasized, “Hasn’t my consistent refrain been that John Cena is, in fact, a villain? Don’t we remember WrestleMania 27, with Cena in the main event? The multiple promotional segments and feuds I’ve engaged in with him were underlain with this truth. However, nobody believed it because I was perceived as the antagonist. But in my eyes, John Cena embodies the idea of stepping up in the ring, regardless if he is cast as the villain or the hero. His status as a massive star forces others to match his pace in the ring. Inspector closer, I surmise that he is essentially setting standards and if you’re not meeting them, then you’re not at his level. Throughout, I’ve been here, patiently waiting for someone to step up. I predict that the crowd will find such enjoyment in Cena’s villain persona that they will want to transition him back into a hero character. They’ve alternated between rooting for and against Cena for years, and now that they’ve got him as the bad guy, I think they’ll soon find joy in bringing him back to the other side.”
Also, during a recent segment on “The Aeriel Helwani Show,” WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER spoke favourably about Logan Paul, the internet personality turned professional wrestler.
Commending Paul, GUNTHER emphasized, “My experience with Logan has been nothing but positive. I deem him as a tremendous asset to our lineup, highlighting his impressive athleticism and his capacity to learn the ropes in a short span. Given his illustrious career, I don’t believe his goal is to become the world’s top wrestler, but he clearly has a passion for the sport. He agreed to join us and his inclusion can only be beneficial. There might be skepticism from folks outside of our sphere, but let’s face it, if you were offered private jet accommodations and locker room access, there’s no chance you’d refuse.”
