In this week’s WWE NXT show, the concealed group Darkstate was finally unveiled to comprise Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James, and Saquon Shugars. Tony D’Angelo, together with The Family, exposed their identities – Adriana Rizzo, Channing Lorenzo, and Luca Crusifino supplied further particulars on the members of Darkstate.
Later, the faction gave a glimpse of their menacing side by launching an attack on NXT Champion Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams. Darkstate initially made its presence felt during the NXT: Vengeance Day event, following weeks of suspense-building teasers.

Oba Femi is slated to guard the NXT Title at NXT Stand & Deliver against adversaries Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans. This announcement came from NXT General Manager Ava, following a heated exchange among the trio. Evans pointed fingers at Williams for copying Carmelo Hayes, which led to the intervention of Femi and the confirmation of the match.
Subsequent to the confirmation of the match, Darkstate — consisting of Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin — mounted an attack on all three contenders, focusing their aggression on Williams the most. Consequently, a triad tag match was arranged for the April 8 episode of NXT, pitting Femi, Williams, and Evans to battle against three members of Darkstate.
Safety is now a mere illusion.
