The Mexican wrestling duo, Lucha Bros consisting of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, have not yet penned a contract with WWE, contrary to recent gossip.
Last Friday, rumors circulated implying that the well-known pair had reached an agreement to join the WWE main line-up, however, according to trustworthy sources such as Pwinsider, this hasn’t happened.
In fact, it has been confirmed that the wrestlers are still fully committed to their current contracts with AEW.
However, there remains a definite raised eyebrow from WWE toward the tag team partnership. Even though WWE has shown interest in recruiting these wrestlers, they must first fulfill their existing obligations to AEW.
As of now, since they’re still bound by AEW contracts, the likelihood of striking a deal with WWE or initiating talks with them is almost non-existent.
There’s a general consensus that both Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix would eventually join WWE once they are legally free to take that step. It is important to highlight that Rey Fenix is irrefutably still bound by an AEW contract and the duo’s potential move to another organization “won’t be as smooth as expected.”
