On Sportskeeda’s “The Wrestling Time Machine,” WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long shared his perspective on recent events in professional wrestling. Among the topics, he discussed Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair’s loss of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to the Unholy Union at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Additionally, he talked about WWE’s continued ventures in Scotland, and more.
Hear are a few key points from the podcast:
On the surprising outcome of the match, Long shared, “To an extent, yes, but mainly no… The reality is that the overseas market has huge revenue potential for the company. That’s what they are looking towards. They recognize that it’s all entertainment. However, we don’t know what the future holds. Maybe when we return to the US, they might have different plans for Bianca and Jade.”
Discussing WWE’s certainty of a return to Scotland, he said, “They did something specifically for that location, knowing they’d be back… Perhaps when they return, there could be a rematch, and the girls might reclaim their title, unless something else happens before then.”
