Roman Reigns was injured in his Tribal Combat Match against Jey Uso at the 2023 WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event from Ford Field on Saturday night.
Reigns managed to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship after Jimmy Uso cost his twin brother the title match.
Fightful Select has shared additional details to the earlier accounts of Roman Reigns’ SummerSlam injury.
The report states that Reigns is still on the schedule for SmackDown this Friday. This latest update contradicts the previous report that Reigns wouldn’t be appearing on WWE television for the next few months.
Sources also indicated that any internally scheduled events for Reigns have not been called off yet, although those decisions could be subject to change.
There has been no official comment from WWE on Reigns’ status, but the report suggests that creative plans have not been changed as of Tuesday afternoon.
Stay tuned to eWn for more details on the situation as they become available.
