The wrestling world is all abuzz with anticipation and conjecture regarding the significant clashes expected to take place at WrestleMania 41, and it appears that these rumors might indeed hold some truth.
Word has recently spread that the wrestling organization is considering staging a WWE Title match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena at the event.
Adding fuel to the speculation, there have been whispers of a possible face-off between CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41.
Renowned wrestling pundit, Dave Meltzer, substantiated these whispers in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that these are indeed the ongoing plans.
Meltzer mentioned, “The possibility of Punk going head to head with Roman Reigns has been making the rounds in the past week. I am under the impression that there is some substance to it.”
While discussing the potential bout between Cena and Rhodes, Meltzer clarified that although the match is not firmly fixed, the rumors of Cena contending for a World title at WrestleMania 41 are entirely credible.
Meltzer further commented, “Indeed, it was a significant topic of discussion, the idea of WrestleMania showcasing John Cena’s bid for the 17th Championship and surpassing Ric Flair’s record. It could’ve been GUNTHER, or whoever vanquishes GUNTHER, or indeed, Cody. Most likely, it would not have been Cody if The Rock were participating in the show. Right now, Cody is the one. If Dwayne opts for Cody, then it is likely to proceed on those lines. Perhaps Dwayne will challenge Roman. The ball is in Dwayne’s court. So, a lot of scenarios are possible, including a Punk versus Roman match.”
WWE WrestleMania 41 is set to be a two-night event, scheduled to take place on April 19 and 20, 2025, at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
