The latest buzz in the wrestling world suggests that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) may soon introduce a fresh weekly show called Shockwave. It has come to light from earlier reports on eWn that AEW has been looking into the potential of a new broadcast and seeking diverse network partners, given that its recent TV rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery isn’t exclusive.
There had been conjecture that FOX might be the platform hosting the show. Nevertheless, Fightful Select revealed that an official agreement hasn’t yet been reached, leaving the network destination for AEW Shockwave unknown and yet to be determined.
Interestingly, FOX has expressed its interest in wrestling content not linked to WWE, demonstrated by the fact that SmackDown was previously aired on FOX before its relocation to the USA Network a month ago.
Within its forecasted schedule for 2025, AEW includes the programs Dynamite, Collision, and ROH TV. However, shows like AEW Rampage and Battle of the Belts aren’t anticipated to carry on, while the discussions in regards to Shockwave are still underway.
