Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions crew is behind the unveiling of a brand new docuseries detailing the ascension and subsequent decline of WCW. Its premiere happened on a Tuesday night. The production company has in the past also taken credit for “Tales from the Territories” created for the same network.
The documentary, with the intriguing title “Who Killed WCW?” will have both Johnson and Dany Garcia at its production helm. WCW owes its genesis to media mogul Ted Turner and was birthed in 1988. It later ceased to exist in 2001 and eventually came under the WWE’s ownership.
The docuseries puts under the microscope the issues responsible for the collapse of WCW, primarily encompassing management hurdles and creative disagreements during the phase known as the Monday Night Wars. Such an exploration would entail exclusive discussions with wrestlers, key executives, and insiders offering a glimpse into personal narratives and adversities.
