Linda Hogan, the former spouse of wrestling star Hulk Hogan, has dismissed assertions by her daughter Brooke of enduring physical or verbal abuse at her hands.
In a Facebook message posted recently, Linda cast Brooke as a “narcissist” and suggested that such tendencies are inherent in their family, affecting both Hulk and Brooke. Linda admitted to having possibly spanked Brooke on one occasion and using harsh words, yet refuted any accusations of ill-treatment towards Brooke to the extent claimed. She posited that had the alleged abuse been authentic, Brooke could have revealed it when she had possession of a mobile phone.
Linda also alleged that Brooke was biased towards Hulk during their separation and that this may have influenced Brooke’s recollections of their mother-daughter bond. In addition, Linda leveled accusations of violence against Brooke, asserting that Brooke, under the influence of alcohol, had broken Linda’s collarbone and caused a cut on her lip. Linda stated that she had grown weary of publically defending herself against such claims and might consider legal redress if Brooke persisted with allegations.
In reaction to Linda’s Facebook note, Brooke reaffirmed her experiences of enduring mental, verbal, and physical torment meted out by her mother from her younger years. She has yet to respond to her mother’s recent counter-statements.
UPDATE: Brooke Hogan has issued a rebuttal to Linda’s accusation of being a ‘narcissist’, sharing a comprehensive response on her Instagram handle.
Brooke conveyed her desire to avoid this familial discord and highlighted that her mother had propagated untruths, especially about their interpersonal relationship. Brooke shared a picture displaying her mother meeting her spouse, contradicting Linda’s claim of the two being estranged for years.
Brooke further noted that Linda had removed a past statement in which she denied ever meeting Brooke’s husband or even knowing his identity. Brooke substantiated her stance with relevant evidence.
