The Hardys Capture New Tag-Team Gold, Where Has Zak Knight Been In AEW?

The Hardy Boys, Matt and Jeff Hardy, have clinched the title of the first-ever 4th Rope Tag Team Champions.

This historic win was achieved at the recent ‘Heels Have Eyes 4’ event, where the Hardys triumphed in a high-stakes Triple Threat Ladder Match. They prevailed against strong competition from Violence Is Forever and The Infantry.

Rap artist Westside Gunn, the driving force behind the promotion, shared his thoughts on the victory through Twitter:

“AND NEW!!!!!!!! Major S/O to the LEGENDS @MATTHARDYBRAND @JEFFHARDYBRAND the HARDY BOYZ puttin on a banger ladder match to become 4TH ROPE first tag team champions, this only the beginning fellas, thank you #4THROPE #HEELSHAVEEYES #CULTURE #ART #WRESTLING #HISTORY”

Zak Knight, after being MIA from AEW/ROH events since May, popped onto the scene recently on the “Cruising With Kayfabe” podcast. He disclosed why he’s been distant from the wrestling spotlight:

“I had projected that I might feature in [AEW All In], but I had to return to the UK in June. It was important for me to take time off for personal reasons. I’ve had to navigate issues with mental health, and it was necessary for me to address that, and also prioritize my family. I felt my life spinning out of control, it got a bit crazy. But Tony was incredible. He allowed me to take a break of six-seven weeks. This was a period I spent at home, refueling my energy, getting things together. I’m extremely thankful to him for that.”

He provided further insight by adding, “Then August came, and the clearance was there. The prospect of returning to Cardiff and Wembley felt surreal. My dreams as a wrestler were about to come true. Adjusting to having halted my progress due to medical reasons was difficult, but I’m hopeful that with my next opportunity, I’ll be able to gain lost ground.”
