In the TNA Against All Odds 2024 event, Jeff Hardy made a notable comeback in TNA Wrestling following seven years of inactivity. He spent this timeout competing primarily in ROH, WWE, and AEW.
While his contract with AEW was on the verge of ending on the same day, the groundwork for his TNA return had been laid out in the preceding week.
Fightful Select reported that both Hardy brothers are currently operating as independent players without any binding paperwork in TNA Wrestling.
Although there were speculations about Jeff’s joining TNA in the circles, proper authorization was not granted until the end of the week.
Inside sources from TNA indicated that the initial plan for Matt Hardy was of a temporary nature, however further scheduling and plans have been fused into the arrangement.
Proposals have also been put forward for Reby Hardy’s potential involvement in a match, however, this is still an uncertainty and awaits confirmation.
Reby, who consistently appeared in matches for a span of several years, made her last appearance in 2016, which was also in TNA.
There have been no further discussions reported between the Hardy brothers and AEW, barring suggestions that the potential for any future associations “seems to remain open” for all the entities involved.
