TNA wrestling has declared that current TNA World Tag Team Champions, Matt and Jeff Hardy, have renewed their contract with the company. The brothers, who made a comeback in TNA this year, with Matt in April and Jeff in June, have a professional wrestling career that began in 1993.
Throughout the years, they have earned numerous championships and are recognized as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. Jeff and Matt remain the only team to have held the tag team championships across WWE/World, WCW, TNA, ROH, Raw and SmackDown. Their high-energy, high-risk wrestling style that revolutionized the field is widely recognized. Their memoir, co-written in 2003, was acknowledged as a New York Times best-seller.
The brothers won their third TNA World Tag Team Championship in October, succeeding The System’s Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers and ABC’s Ace Austin and Chris Bey, at Bound for Glory in a Full Metal Mayhem match.
Jeff’s enthusiasm for motocross, music and painting is well-known, and he first appeared in TNA wrestling in 2004 in a match against AJ Styles for the TNA X Division Championship.
Matt debuted his “Broken” gimmick in 2016, a move that was lauded and won him multiple Best Gimmick awards. He first appeared in TNA in 2011, competing against Rob Van Dam, and has previously held the TNA World Championship twice.
TNA Wrestling will present its “Final Resolution” on Friday, December 13 at Center Stage in Atlanta, which will be broadcast live on the TNA+ app starting at 8 p.m. ET, and tickets are now available on Ticketmaster.com.
Following that, TNA stars will be back in action at Center Stage on Saturday, December 14 where tapes for future iMPACT! episodes will be made. All the TNA stars will be in Atlanta for two invigorating nights of professional wrestling.
