A recent case of sexual harassment at the AEW/ROH tapings on Wednesday night involving Skye Blue has led to an outpouring of support from several female wrestlers in the field. During Skye Blue’s matchup with Rachael Ellering, a man was evicted from the arena for hurling sexually explicit comments at Blue. He continued with his inappropriate behavior during a match that featured Mariah May and Harley Cameron.

In light of these incidents, a social media user’s unsolicited advice directed at Blue and other female wrestlers, beseeching them to “STOP SHOWING SO MUCH ASS,” sparked backlash from a number of women in the wrestling industry including Chelsea Green, Kylie Rae, Shazza McKenzie, Deonna Purrazzo, and Allison Danger.

Several of the reactions follow:

Chelsea Green: “Men can walk around shirtless in tiny underwear on, but we can’t wear our outfits because of YOU?… It’s YOU, my guy. ”

Deonna Purrazzo: “If a woman’s body makes YOU out of control or uncomfortable, that’s a YOU problem. ”

Shazza McKenzie: “Men wear far less when wrestling and manage to not get harassed? It’s almost like the problem is with men and their behavior.”

Kylie Rae: “Showing skin does not give someone the right to harass you. Do better.”

Gisele Shaw: “WTF does showing a lot of ass have to do with wrestling? We can show a lot of ass if we want to and still kick ass! OUR body OUR choice…”

Allison Danger: “Some motherly advice: Sit down and hush.”

HYAN: “MORE ASS IN WRESTLING”

Riley Matthews: “Women should be able to wear WHATEVER they want… men basically wrestle in underwear and get no shit for it.”

Jamie Senegal: “My cheeks will stay out… maybe you linger on certain reddit pages.”

Gypsy Mac: “Fuck this guy, I’ll show all the ass I want. Maybe people should keep their comments to themselves.”

Joseline Navarro: “Blame us for wrestling in what we want to wrestle in instead of blaming yourselves for being weirdos.”

Nikki Van Blair: “Shut up.”
