The Future Of WWE Network Following Netflix Move

In a story we previously broke on eWn, the WWE Network will wind down its operations in Europe come New Year’s Day, 2025. At that point, Netflix will introduce WWE content streaming services to these areas.

However, according to a report from Pwinsider, this does not indicate a complete closure of the service.

Presumably, the WWE Network will maintain operations in global markets where Netflix has yet to procure streaming rights for WWE shows. This is due to existing agreements set in place before the Netflix-WWE partnership.

In a notable development, previous subscribers in the Philippines recently received communications from WWE. They were informed that the Network plans a comeback in the region after a two-year absence. It’s worth noting that during this interim period, WWE shows were available on Disney+ for Philippines-based fans.

As WWE’s contracts expire in other regions, Netflix will step in to provide WWE content previously delivered by the Network.

In related news, fans can look forward to the premiere of WWE RAW on Netflix, slated for Monday, January 6, 2025.
