The forthcoming episode of WWE RAW has confirmed that it will feature an Intercontinental Championship Match, among other exciting events.

On August 12, 2024, the much-anticipated WWE Monday Night RAW returns to the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

The flagship show of WWE has already got fans buzzing with its return to the USA network after a two-week stint on SyFy channel. The line-up so far, although sparse, contains significant announcements.

In a backstage interaction, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso discussed Zayn’s conversation with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Zayn requested a rematch with Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship, scheduled for the next week. A unique stipulation adds intrigue to the match – it will be a best-of-three falls match, tailored to draw a decisive end to their ongoing disputes.

Additionally, an important No. 1 Contender’s Match is on the cards. Kairi Sane and IYO SKY from Damage CTRL will face off against Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. The winning team will secure a future match against the reigning champions of WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn). This follows Fyre and Dawn’s successful title defense against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill on Friday Night SmackDown, with Blair Davenport assisting.

Background to the match includes a string of week-long tense situations resulting in rival brawls between Damage CTRL and Sonya Deville’s trio, with Dakota Kai falling prey to a backstage attack by Deville, Stark, and Baszler.

Besides these thrilling matches, the next RAW episode is likely to tackle the aftermath of the current week’s show, signifying Bronson Reed’s ambush on Seth Rollins, CM Punk’s persistent conflict with Drew McIntyre, as well as Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley’s retaliation against The Judgment Day.
