“Hangman” Adam Page is officially done with the Dark Order, as he made it clear that he wants to handle his business with The Elite by himself on Wednesday night. But this request quickly backfired on AEW Dynamite: Homecoming, as AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and his allies, beat Page down, and the Dark Order did did what “Hangman” asked by leaving him alone.

When Page came to the ring to do an interview with Tony Schiavone, The Elite crashed the segment. Omega surprisingly attempted to convince Page to rejoin the group, but the fan-favorite star had no interest in doing so. Omega responded by highlighting Page’s recent failures, and the stable made it clear that while they were thinking of forgiving Page, The Elite doesn’t want any losers or failures in the mix.
Page answered by slapping Omega, and the blow led to a brawl that motivated The Dark Order to come running down to make the save. Still, Page wasn’t happy, and he told Evil Uno and Stu Grayson that he wanted to stand alone. They reluctantly walked away, but Page would learn to be careful what he wished for, as the Young Bucks hit him with BTE triggers before Omega capped off the assault by knocking Page out with the title.
Later in the show, after Christian Cage defeated The Blade, Tony Schiavone announced that the former WWE star is the new number one contender to Omega’s AEW World Championship. Elated at the news, Cage said that this is what he came to All Elite Wrestling for, as he has targeted the title from the day he arrived. He then made it clear that he will be coming after Omega for the belt.
As a result of his win tonight, #ChristianCage is the new No. 1 contender, and he says he's "Elite?!"
