The ‘book club’ at the Blackpool Combat Club has taken a back seat in recent times. Bryan Danielson shed some light on this in a chat with Sports Illustrated, discussing the situation within the club, along with its more private literary society.
In quotes from Danielson, he said, “I am unsure of the next book on our list. It’s all been a bit disorganized since Mox secured the IWGP championship in New Japan. He hasn’t appeared often at a number of AEW shows. The recent injury that sidelined Wheeler has also resulted in his absence from quite a few AEW shows and I’m not the best when it comes to texting. I dislike being glued to my phone–thus I am really slow at replying to messages. The past six weeks have seen this club being put on the backburner.”
Going ahead, he remarked, “Mox recommended a book for me recently. It’s from a novice wrestling trainer and it was a great read. The title is something similar to Chosen Suffering and that’s particularly fitting for Mox, me and the BCC–opting to deal with pain is what we prefer.”
