The anticipated comeback of AEW’s yearly Blood & Guts match seems to be just around the bend.
During the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, we experienced an interruption of Swerve Strickland’s promo segment, met with an unforeseen entry by The Elite. Strickland was speaking about his AEW x NJPW opponent, Will Ospreay, dubbing him a “fighting champion,” setting him apart from The Young Bucks. The audience was then met with the surprise appearances of the EVPs, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada.
Nick Jackson went on to put forth the Blood & Guts challenge to anyone brave enough to accept, whilst also setting out to coax Strickland to join their side. Upon Strickland’s denial, things took a turn for the worse with them getting ready to strike, only to be intercepted by The Acclaimed.
As it stands now, there still remains no definite word as to when the Blood & Guts match will actually take place.
