TNA Wrestling has broadcasted that tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event will incorporate a sponsor for the Knockouts World Championship match.

The confirmation for the sponsorship is presented below:

The movie Detained, which is slated for release, will sponsor the Knockouts World Championship Match at Slammiversary.

TNA Wrestling announced today that the match, which is set to take place on Saturday, July 20th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will be backed by Detained, a forthcoming film from Quiver Distribution.

Current Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace will be defending her title against Ash By Elegance as they perform for an audience that filled the seats at Verdun Auditorium.

“Quiver is excited to collaborate with TNA Wrestling in promoting our movie, Detained, featuring Abbie Cornish and Laz Alonso,” Quiver Distribution’s Co-Presidents, Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman shared in an official statement. “Sponsoring the Knockouts World Championship match at the Slammiversary offers an outstanding platform to introduce our film to a highly spirited audience.”

The film, Detained, is set to make its debut in August.

TNA Wrestling is making a comeback to Montreal for the first time since 2011 to stage the 20th Slammiversary, a significant event in TNA Wrestling’s calendar. Slammiversary, marking the 22nd anniversary of TNA, will be broadcasted live worldwide via pay-per-view.

The Slammiversary pre-show starts at 7pm EDT, with the main event kicking off at 8pm.

Filming for future episodes of TNA’s flagship weekly TV show will take place in Montreal on Sunday, July 21. The show airs at 8pm EDT every Thursday on AXS TV in the U.S. and Fight Network in Canada. The filming begins at 5pm.

Ticket information for Sunday’s show in Montreal can be located at TNAWrestling.com.
