Former IWGP World Champion Tetsuya Naito has injured his right knee and will miss two live events as a result. The injury occurred during the promotion’s Feb. 16 show. While currently hurt, it doesn’t appear that he’ll miss Castle Attack.

“On February 16’s Road to Castle Attack, Tetsuya Naito sustained a right knee injury and as a result will be unable to compete on live events Friday February 19 in Iwate and Saturday February 20 in Yamagata,” New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced. “We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Naito wrestle and appreciate your understanding. Further updates will be provided on Naito’s condition as they become available. We wish Tetsuya Naito the best in his recovery.”

As a result of the injury, several match changes have been made to the Feb. 19 and Feb. 20 shows.
