Professional wrestler Tessa Blanchard has made an official comeback to TNA Wrestling.
Blanchard dramatically reentered the TNA wrestling scene during Friday night’s TNA Resolution pay-per-view event. Hiding her identity behind a ski mask and coat, she stealthily ambushed Jordynne Grace amidst her match with Rosemary. Conjuring a surprise Hammerlock DDT attack, she then unveiled herself and confidently saluted the crowd.
Blanchard’s 2020 exit from TNA was indeed mired in controversy. She made a record by being the first woman to interlock the TNA World Championship under her belt after she emerged victorious from a match with Sami Callihan at the TNA Hard To Kill event in 2020. Yet, her term came to an end amid allegations that she refused to handover the TNA World Championship belt and made demands for increased remuneration to abdicate the title. Besides, scandalous accusations about her hurling racial slurs at La Rosa Negra and allegations of her tyrannizing other wrestlers clouded her departure.
Subsequent to her surprise attack, Blanchard retorted to her fans, reiterating the statement “who the company was built upon.”
Tweets from TNA Wrestling celebrating her unexpected return read:
