If you aren’t a diehard NXT fan, you probably still know about Tegan Nox thanks to her amazing comeback story. The character was just starting to appear on weekly programming before a devastating in-ring injury took her out of action for months and months. In a recent talk with Comicbook.com, Tegan said that she’s ready to move on from the comeback story and start a new chapter in her career.
The fact that people think that my knees are weaker than they used to be is crazy to me because my knees are stronger than they’ve ever been, and any normal knees. So when people are like, ‘Oh, they’re just going to fail, they’re going to explode again’ No, no, no. They’re not. They’re stronger than yours, thank you very much.
Tegan has a chance to establish a new normal if she can manage to overcome Io Shirai and secure the NXT Women’s Champion. Nox said that the current holder of the total is being hypocritical by saying that Nox relies too much on her backup at ringside.
I mean, first of all, she said that having friends or relying on friends was a weakness, but it’s far from a weakness. Friends are not weaknesses. Admittedly, I haven’t picked the greatest friends quite recently, but she also had help from Asuka last week, or two weeks ago. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that relying on someone, too?
Finally, Nox shared who she’d like to face on the card of a not-yet-announced second WWE Evolution PPV. Bypassing a few of the women on the top of WWE’s other brands, Nox goes for a match she is excited to think about.
It’s got to be Ruby Riott. She’s right at the top for me, but if it’s a legends dream match, obviously it’s Molly Holly, but Ruby Riott is my next pick. I mean, she’s incredible. She’s such a good friend, and an incredible athlete and an incredible wrestler. She’s my main pick that I want to wrestle, so Ruby Riott at Evolution 2.
