Teddy Long expressed his delight over the victory of Nic Nemeth as TNA World Champion recently. According to Long, the ‘Wanted Man,’ truly merited his win.
Nemeth emerged victorious in the TNA Slammiversary 2024 in the primary six-man elimination round, superbly outwitting his rivals including the ex-champion Moose, Joe Hendry, Steve Maclin, Josh Alexander, and Frankie Kazarian.
The jubilant Long commended Nemeth’s dedication during his stint in WWE in a recent episode of Sportskeeda’s podcast, “The Wrestling Time Machine.” His stark words were,
“Hats off to Nic, he’s an extraordinary individual. I got the golden opportunity to work with him in WWE. Every single day was a reflection of his consistency and amicable behavior, truly unprecedented. One should always be hopeful about their good fortunes. Perhaps, this victory marks his moment.”
Nemeth successfully held onto the prestigious WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, both stints, however, were of short duration, the first one coming to an abrupt end just minutes after it arose.
The second round for Nemeth in 2013 because of an unfortunate concussion posed an immediate drawback and he subsequently lost the title in a short period to Alberto Del Rio.
