A wrestling legend who is part of the WWE Hall of Fame has expressed his concern about the potential misuse of Finn Balor by the brand. This comes ahead of the Irish wrestler’s attempt to achieve the World Heavyweight Championship this coming weekend.
Coming up on WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event, Balor is set to face off against GUNTHER. In a recent development on WWE RAW, Damian Priest was introduced as another competitor in the championship bout.
During a latest episode of the podcast, “Sportskeeda Backstage Pass”, Long revealed his opinion on the reigning World Tag Team Champion, saying,
“Finn does an outstanding job and he’s taken part in a multitude of engaging storylines. However, the future is always uncertain. I earnestly hope that they aren’t just disregarding his talent. I truly want this opportunity to help him progress his career.”
Marking a decade with WWE recently, Balor has won the tag-team and Intercontinental Championship titles multiple times, in addition to being a two-time NXT Champion.
In 2016, Balor held the Universal Title for one day before an injury cut his run short. Since June, he and partner JD McDonagh have been holding onto the tag team championship title.
According to recent reports, Balor is expected to be given a solo push in 2025. Find out more about these future plans for the Irish wrestler by clicking here.
