Teddy Hart Speaks Out About Past Allegations Against Him Resurfacing Online

Teddy Hart posted the following statement on his Twitter account, speaking out about past allegations made against him as well as detailing his past relationships with Samantha Fiddler and Chasyn Rance.

First and most importantly, in regards to Samantha Fiddler and her disappearance:

Samantha and I had both a personal (albeit brief) and professional relationship, which began when I first met her in Edmonton. She wanted to become a professional wrestler, and I did my best to train her before she decided to pursue other interests.

Samantha was a good hearted person and someone I cared for. She also had a lot of things going on in her life, and issues with which she was dealing with that extended beyond our relationship.

By the time she moved to Florida, our relationship had ended and I had moved to Texas. I was not in regular communication with her, and I do not know what happened to her. I hope for the sake of her family and her kids that she is somewhere out there and that she is ok.

In regards to Chasyn Rance:

I have known Chasyn for many years and, like others, have crossed paths with him several times over the course of my career. I do NOT now, nor do I plan in the future to have any sort of personal or professional relationship with Chasyn, nor do I support him in regards to the crimes for which he has been convicted.

I have participated in several custom video shoots, as do many other well known independent wrestlers, but I have NEVER participated in any shoots that are illegal, obscene, or beyond the traditional scope of these videos.

I have made many mistakes in my life, and I’m sure I will make more in the future. Unfortunately, I can not change the past. I have paid my debt to society (including time in jail) and I will have to live with the consequences of my actions for the rest of my life and all the judgments that come with it.

All I can do now is focus on being the best person I can be, both in and out of wrestling, and I will continue to put my faith in God that everything will work out for the best.

I wake up everyday grateful to have the overwhelming support of my family, friends, and fans all over the world that believe in me and want to see me succeed. I will continue to work hard to make them proud and live up to their expectations.

Thank you for reading.

Teddy

Hart’s name came up in separate posts on social media this week, with one revealing Rance, a professional wrestler and convicted sex offender, was arrested again for a DUI in central Florida on November 2. The second post on Facebook included a missing person update for Fiddler, aka Samantha Steel / Lucy Morningstar, who has not been seen since disappearing in Florida on November 19, 2016. Before her disappearance, Fiddler had been training with Rance and former WWE star Alex ‘The Pug’ Porteau at their wrestling schools (Team Vision Dojo, Pro Wrestling 2.0) in the Orlando area, and it was noted that she had a romantic and professional relationship with Hart.

The Facebook post maintained that it did not “allege or suggest that any of the persons or businesses named or in its photos were connected to Fiddler’s disappearance,” yet still named those that had a prior relationship with Fiddler, naming Hart, Rance, and Porteau, in addition to others.

Among the details in the post, it referenced Rance’s status as a registered sex offender and brought up past criminal charges against Hart, in addition to making some unsubstantiated claims that Hart was involved in making custom adult-themed videos under an alias. Hart was also accused of assault and unlawful confinement in Calgary in 2013 and 2014, but he ultimately had those charges dropped by the courts in May of 2016.

Wednesday night, Limitless Wrestling (Maine) announced they had pulled Hart from their November 29 event and said he wouldn’t be appearing at any of their future events either. The company’s initial statement noted they wouldn’t be working with Hart due to numerous fans bringing “information to our attention over the past 24 hours that led to this decision” to end the current working agreement.

Limitless did not respond to our request for clarification on Hart’s status or specifically what that information they cited was. We did speak to Hart for clarification on the matter, who said that he wants to clear his name so that these past accusations will stop following him.

Hart says he canceled some dates in order to straighten things out and clear his name so that it doesn’t follow him into the next year. He cited Limitless owner Randy Carver as someone who took a chance on him when he originally dealt with his other legal issues, and he’s still working to build his name back up to where promoters can trust him.

He said he wants to be transparent about his past, and the situation is unfortunate but he doesn’t know what happened to Fiddler. Hart says he feels terrible about what happened, but it had nothing to do with him, citing his time spent in jail, followed by a stint in a WWE-sponsored rehab center.

Hart says this is not the first time he’s had to deal with his name being dragged through the mud, but he dealt with prior accusations through the courts and had those charges dropped. He says he’s worked very hard on getting his reputation to a level where people can trust him, and he doesn’t want his fans thinking that the accusations coming back up again is a reflection of who he still is.

Hart, the current MLW Middleweight Champion, is scheduled to defend his title against Myron Reed at the promotion’s “Blood And Thunder” event today at GILT Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
