In a recent episode of his celebrated “Everybody’s Got a Pod” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Ted DiBiase Sr., analyzed the celebrity status of both The Undertaker and Sting.
Detailed below are several notable mentions from the podcast:
When asked to compare who’s a brighter star between Sting and The Undertaker, Ted DiBiase remarked, “That surely is tough. My inclination would be to lean slightly more towards The Undertaker, owing largely to the uniqueness of his character, not suggesting in any way that Steve’s isn’t. However, when it comes to wrestling skills, I’d say Steve is unquestionably a more skilled wrestler than The Undertaker. The fact remains that Mark fully embraced his gimmick and mastered how to play a convincing character of a presumably dead man. The variety of stunts he executed in the ring was incredible. Despite his significant presence, from a wrestling perspective, I might still edge towards Sting. Yet, if we were to discuss characters, The Undertaker would be my pick.”
On discussing Kamala, he said: “A genuinely great guy. His actual name was James, kind of amusing, James. I don’t recollect his surname though. He was the epitome of kindness. I vaguely remember us talking about something related to the dressing room, and someone asked for Kamala’s opinion. His response, a gentle shake of the head and a humble ‘No,’ was simply hilarious. Despite his on-screen appearance of an intimidating big zombie, he truly was one of the nicest people you could encounter.”
