During a recent episode of the podcast, “Everybody’s Got A Pod”, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about his Best Dressed Man storyline with Jim Duggan in Mid-South Wrestling.
Here are a few standout remarks:
Speaking about Dr. Death Steve Williams and his ability to handle a microphone, DiBiase Sr. candidly commented, “Not the best, to be honest. However, he was often paired with me and I did the majority of the talking.”
Discussing his memorable Best Dressed Man story arc with Jim Duggan in Mid-South, DiBiase Sr. said with a chuckle, “I enjoyed it tremendously because I always knew the outcome. No matter how expensive or sophisticated my tuxedo was, we knew who the crowd would cheer for. It was invariably conducted by applause. As I once quipped in a promo, ‘You can dress a monkey up in a suit, but he’s still a monkey.'”
Also, talking about Bill Watts, he shared, “Honestly, I would place Bill Watts ahead of any other promoter from his time or era. Bill is an extremely intelligent individual.”
