Ted DiBiase Sr., an esteemed inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame, has battled in countless contests, but he confesses there is no sum of money that could compel him to ascend a ladder.

On an episode of his podcast entitled “Everybody’s Got A Pod”, DiBiase Sr expressed his thoughts on the infamous match and explained why he feels glad he never participated. He revealed,

“I’ve never been in a ladder match and again, I don’t think that I would ever want to be in a ladder match. Nah, I’ve partaken in a steel cage match, I’ve engaged in a chain match, where you’re shackled to the opponents and stuff. I’ve found myself in a Texas Deathmatch, and several other types. But a ladder match, I’ve been spared from. It’s like, hats off to the guys who have the guts to get into that.”

His involvement in the steel cage match happened at a house show hosted by Madison Square Garden in June 1988. The event starred the Million Dollar Man squaring off with ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage only to walk away defeated.

This evening, WWE is set on staging its 15th Money in the Bank pay-per-view telecast. This event will spotlight a Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
