In a recent episode of his podcast, “Everybody’s Got a Pod,” WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. engaged in a profound discussion. Topics of conversation included WWE’s decision to include Lawrence Taylor in WrestleMania 11, his triumph over Bam Bam Bigelow and a plethora of other subjects.

Here are a few standout moments from the podcast conversation:

When asked whether one has to be eccentric to enter the wrestling world, DiBiase said, “Not really. Of course, you encounter some unique individuals in pro wrestling. But then again, if you look at the back-stories of some NFL players, you’ll find peculiar characters there, too.”

Talking about WWE’s decision to bring in the NFL’s Lawrence Taylor for WrestleMania 11, DiBiase expressed that “Inviting someone from the National Football League to participate in an event and a match in professional wrestling undoubtedly elevates the public perception of wrestling.”

When questioned about having any problems with Taylor’s victory, DiBiase responded, “No, not really. I see it this way. Bam Bam Bigelow was a large, formidable person, meant to be one of my tough guys. But, Lawrence Taylor didn’t compete against Hulk Hogan in the ring. It wasn’t a match of the best against the best. So, I don’t think it caused any harm to let him have a win.”

His entire podcast, “EGAP #100: WrestleMania 11”, is available for streaming, where these and many other fascinating stories are shared in depth.
