On a recent episode of his “Everybody’s Got A Pod” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Ted DiBiase Sr., shed light on the importance of his WWF North American Title victory, the experience of traveling with the title and more on this topic.
Here are some key points that he discussed in the podcast:
In regards to the importance of the North American Title victory, DiBiase Sr. stated, “The promotion won’t confer the honor of a championship belt on anyone unless they are certain that the individual is capable of bearing it… I’m not being boastful about myself, however, if you are the one with the belt, then you’re the top player in the territory.”
When asked about the trials and tribulations of traveling around with a title, he said, “I sometimes fail to recall which title I held at a certain time. Sometimes it was the Tag Team Titles or something else, they all blend together. I remember expressing to someone, if you think I’m going to schlep both of these things around the country, you’ve got another think coming.”
