During the commencement of the fifth jubilee episode of AEW Dynamite, the host Excalibur presented the team of commentators for this week’s installment and briskly mentioned that Nigel McGuinness will be stepping in for Taz, with additional information to be shared further in the program.
Earlier during the night, prior to the broadcast of Dynamite, AEW released a tweet indicating that Taz had been “attacked in the parking lot” and was currently under medical supervision. The tweet read:

While the match between Juice Robinson and “Hangman” Adam Page was underway, Excalibur gave further details about this incident. He shared that Taz mentioned his knee was in “really bad shape”, but didn’t reveal the identity of his assailants.
