Reports are coming in regarding the District Court of Appeal’s decision for the State of Florida’s Fifth District concerning WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, popularly known as Sunny. The ruling has upheld the conviction related to her sentencing in November 2023. The charges she faced were one count of DUI leading to death (DUI Manslaughter, which is a third-degree felony), one count of causing mortality while driving with a revoked or suspended license (also classified as a third-degree felony), four counts of DUI resulting in bodily harm, and three instances of DUI resulting in property damage.
Sytch initially launched an appeal against her conviction, but the courts returned a “Per Curiam Affirmed” ruling. Essentially, this means the decision from the trial court remains unchanged without any provided written rationale.
Moreover, Sytch’s attorney, provided by the court, reportedly resigned from the case. The attorney concluded that the appeal from Sunny did not hold significant value.
The court stated on December 2 that Sytch could present a legal brief in case she found any points worth challenging. Court documentation made available on December 31 reveals that she has not yet stepped forward to take this opportunity.
