In the opinion of Sylvain Grenier, the talent of WWE’s Nick Dinsmore, also known as Eugene, was under-utilized in the company.
In a conversation on the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, Grenier discussed his belief that Dinsmore should have been allowed to contribute more to the WWE. Below are some key points from the podcast:
Regarding Nick Dinsmore’s potential in the WWE: “Dinsmore is unquestionably one of the finest wrestlers that WWE ever contracted, and he assumed the persona of Eugene. Did he succeed in that role? Absolutely. However, as a professional wrestler, could he have contributed more? Indeed, I believe so.”
On the ways Eugene could have been utilized more effectively by WWE: “It’s all about seizing the opportunities given to you, and really running with it. You can’t afford to make mistakes.”
Appearing recently on “The A Show” on RNC Radio, the current WWE NXT North American Champion, Oba Femi, shared his ambition to surpass Wes Lee’s tenure as NXT North American Champion. He stated,
“My first priority is to outshine Wes Lee’s tenure because in reality, that’s my motive. I am determined to rewrite the annals of history because currently, when you talk about the greatest North American Champion of all time, most people mention Wes Lee. I am striving to alter that perception, it’s a necessity for me. Then we can consider, if Trick retains the NXT Title at that juncture, a conversation about that. But for now, my target is to outperform Wes Lee.”
