During the grand pay-per-view event titled AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024 on Sunday night, Swerve Strickland emerged victorious over Will Ospreay, securing his hold on the AEW World Championship in the climax encounter.

Making a special guest appearance, Jim Jones from Dipset introduced Strickland ahead of his AEW World Title bout against Ospreay. The thrilling event unfurled at UBS Arena located in Long Island, NY.

Post the electrifying AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door media presentation, Strickland shared his sentiments about Jim Jones’ attendance at the spectacle, addressing his words:

“Albert Gentily over there, who is truly an ally, was essential in my evolution as a bona fide magnet in this domain. He is directly accountable for Kevin Gates appearing in the tag championship celebration, Rick Ross, and Fabulous coming through. Beyond just the interviews that I’ve given, like media on Hot 97 and myriad other platforms, his influence is widespread. Flash Garments has had a prominent role in executing numerous connections and defining their presentation on stage. Every detail, right from my appearance to my choice of words or the central attraction point is meticulously planned and efficiently steered.”

Adding more, Strickland further conveyed, “My buddy G trains me in choreography, refining my reflexes and sharpening my skills more than ever. It’s like a well-knit team striving together to showcase what encompasses Swerve. Swerve symbolizes more than just me, it represents everyone. Nana, Heck, and Fitted, they are all integral parts of the Swerve identity. When Jim Jones graced the event, it personified what we aim for. Being able to showcase our culture authentically at an event as grand as this, with 11,000 spectators at a sold-out venue in Long Island embodies our vision. It’s not about playing to the gallery, it’s about being genuine.”
