Swerve Strickland Reveals Length Of New AEW Contract

In the previous year, Swerve Strickland experienced an outstanding career phase, marking a significant moment in his professional journey.

In a noteworthy event, Strickland managed to clinch the AEW World Title, only to lose it later to Bryan Danielson in the principal event of AEW All In London 2024.

Besides his personal victory, Strickland also ended his intense rivalry with Hangman Page.

During a recent visit to the “Bootleg Kev” podcast, Strickland expressed his views on how a competitive environment is beneficial for the wrestling industry. On this occasion, he also confirmed his new five-year contract with AEW.

In his own words, Strickland relayed, “Yup. [I’m signed to AEW until 2029]. There’s nowhere else I would rather be. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, that’s just a PR. He’s supposed to say that sht.’ Nah, I mean that sht from the bottom of my heart. There’s no other place I’d rather be. Do I have bad days as opposed to good days? Of course. This is a job. I have frustrations here and there. But, I work through those frustrations better here than I did in other places and anywhere else in the world whether it be Lucha Underground, WWE, NXT. Tony Khan and me have always worked through frustrations.”
