Cameron Grimes, also known as Trevor Lee, parted ways with his wrestling company this past spring following a five-year association. Lee’s departure left many in the WWE community astounded, given his impressive wrestling prowess and established reputation.
Lee, however, didn’t remain idle for long. His no-compete clause is set to expire on July 21, and he will make his debut at the Homecoming event hosted by Elevation Pro Wrestling in Lexington, North Carolina, on July 27.
Lee took to his Twitter account to announce, “One week until I’m a Free agent.” AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland took note of Lee’s announcement of becoming a free agent.
Strickland expressed his thoughts on Lee’s impending free agent status by replying with a simple figure – an hourglass emoji. The conversation occurred as follows:
