Swerve Strickland Receives Insightful Comparison from Adam Copeland, Recognizing Similarities to Bret Hart

Swerve Strickland and Adam Copeland previously worked together in WWE prior to jumping ship to AEW.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “NotSam Wrestling” podcast, Strickland recalled the advice the former Edge gave him during their time in WWE. He said,

“He started studying tapes, getting on the phone with me watching 205 Live matches and dissecting them for like 30 minutes on the phone. I got two of the biggest compliments of my tenure there, when [Copeland] said … ‘[Swerve’s positioning and offense] makes sense from a fighting-combatant stand.’”

Strickland also revealed that Copeland told him that he saw a bit of Bret Hart in him. Additionally, WWE NXT trainer Matt Bloom said Strickland reminded him of Randy Orton.
