Recently, AEW wrestler Swerve Strickland reflected on his career and the defining moments that helped establish his standing in the company during an episode of “No-Contest Wrestling”.

Discussing his progress in AEW, Strickland revealed the match that truly made a difference: the battle royal at Double or Nothing. “To identify a key moment, I’d point out the battle royal at Double or Nothing. That match, specifically the showdown between me and Orange Cassidy, sparked an interest in Tony Khan’s mind,” he said.

He also discussed his match with Hiroshi Tanahashi on AEW Collision. According to Strickland, this match allowed him to prove his reliability to Tony Khan. “After this match, Tony recognized my potential and started to entrust me with more responsibilities. This shift in perception possibly saved the relationship between AEW and New Japan”, he explained.

In another episode of the “WrestleBinge” podcast, fellow AEW star Brody King expressed his admiration for Big Bill, formerly known as Big Cass, describing him as “a phenomenal talent.”

In the same podcast, King expressed his views on Chris Jericho’s leadership of The Learning Tree group, hinting at potential deceit and dishonesty. “Jericho wants to mentor young talents, but as past events have shown, his proteges often end up being dropped,” he noted.

Additionally, King spoke highly of Big Bill’s capabilities. “Big Bill has an incredible talent and the potential to make a name for himself. Bryan Keith, on the other hand, is an equally formidable contender. I hope both of them realize their worth and maintain their dignity,” King shared.
