At the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view gala on Saturday evening, Swerve Strickland delivered on an earlier vow he had made to Ricochet, a follow-up to Ricochet’s defeat to Kazuchika Okada during the AEW Continental Classic’s penultimate round.
Strickland ascended the stage after the match, teasing Ricochet with intimidating words. He warned Ricochet that he would become a public mockery if he couldn’t clinch victory in the contest. Strickland’s sharp comments drew from Ricochet’s history of verbal jabs since he joined the ranks of AEW.
Prince Nana joined Strickland in his straight-up mockery, wheeling a cart packed with toilet rolls. He distributed these rolls to the concert’s spectators who, in turn, launched them into the ring. Ricochet found himself in the center of a makeshift toilet paper ocean. The icing on the cake was Strickland’s sarcastic New Year’s wish to Ricochet, aptly ending the moment.
A tweet from All Elite Wrestling captured the unique moment, “Not the toilet paper, Swerve 🫣 Order #AEWWorldsEnd LIVE on PPV (included link) @KingRicochet |@SwerveConfident | @PrinceKingNana.”
