Potential documentary plans surrounding Swerve Strickland are in motion, with a proposal currently being reviewed by Warner Bros. executives.
News broke in June about this project. Strickland was said to be teaming up with Kenny Lucas and Keith Lucas, together with Flash Garments, to bring this venture to life, as reported by Deadline.
Flash Garments, a renowned music producer, is recognized in the world of wrestling for his input in “Big Pressure”, the theme song of Swerve.
During a recent episode on the “No Contest Wrestling” podcast, Swerve unveiled that shooting for the documentary got underway around Worlds End last year. As quoted, he stated, “This week, we ended up meeting with Warner Brothers and pitching it. Things are looking very, very good. We have award winners like the Lucas Brothers, that name holds a lot of weight. He was like, ‘I’ve done a lot of pitch meetings in Hollywood, it never goes this smooth.’ Things are opening up.”
Swerve divulged that the documentary still needs more footage to be captured. In other updates, Strickland made a comeback on AEW earlier this month at WrestleDream.
