During AEW Dynasty 2025, Swerve Strickland made a sturdy attempt for the AEW World Championship. He, however, lost to Jon Moxley in the grand finale.
After the engagement, Swerve took center stage to address the audience. His closing remark was a direct and amusing outburst, stating emphatically, “Fk Booker T.”.
Below, we provide a full translation of Strickland’s end-of-show monologue:
“I realize some fans may be disappointed, heading for the exits and their vehicles. I empathize with you. I ask for your patience as I share my thoughts in these final moments. We are uncertain about what the future holds once the EVPs return, but that’s why you keep tuning in to All Elite Wrestling where you just witnessed the absolute best vying for the AEW World Championship.
13 years ago, I elevated my career, journeying from Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Philadelphia, where my career had a significant boost – a full circle experience. Tonight, I competed for the AEW World Championship on Pay-Per-View against those who once doubted me. I had just a dollar and a dream, and here is the outcome. My family and two daughters had the privilege of watching me fight for the World championship, front row. My niece, my nephew, Brian, Zoe, Aaliyah, Naya, Michelle, Brian, they’ve all been there for me. I wouldn’t be here without their support. This is a shared moment between you, my fans, and my family.
Every time I talk about representation, I do so sincerely. This kid, who you’ve supported for the last 12, 13 years, headlined five major Pay-Per-Views in just one year.
I do more than just talk about representation, I make it happen. And this is possible because of your continued support. Whether it’s here in the United States or elsewhere, I’m grateful for your support and those ‘Whose House’ chants. I appreciate the support, the merchandise purchases. I urge you all to make it home safely. Finally, just for kicks…fk Booker T.”
