Tonight’s IMPACT Knockouts Championship match between Deonna Purrazzo and Kylie Rae started off in an odd way, as Rae didn’t appear for the match. After issuing a challenge to anybody else in the back, Su Yung made her way out to challenge Purrazzo for the belt, and in a surprise turn of events, defeated the champion to become the newest Knockouts Champion.
After Rae didn’t show up to the ring, Purrazzo called out any other superstar who may be ready to face her. In came Su Young, who very quickly took advantage of the shock that Purrazzo had and took control of the match. Once things settled down, Purrazzo was able to gain the upper hand for a bit, but things fell apart quickly for her. Late in the match, after the referee had been knocked out by an accidental kick from Purrazzo, Kimber Lee landed some big hits on Su Yung with a chair before trying to lock her arm in the chair. However, Yung escaped, and locked in the mandible on Purrazzo. Kimber Lee attempted to interfere, but was hit with mist in the process. After both superstars traded submissions, Yung eventually landed the Panic Button on Purrazzo for the victory.
