David Marquez has confirmed reports that he was indeed in talks with The CW for the United Wrestling Network.

As we previously reported here on eWn, Marquez’s UWN had been in talks with The CW before WWE announced that NXT would be moving to the network starting in October 2024.

UWN had discussed some possible strategies with The CW before WWE came into the picture.

Marquez confirmed that report, tweeting,

“You are hearing my name on podcasts and reading my name in print. Yes it’s true, I was in long negotiations with the network and that’s all I’m going to say about it for now. Please don’t contact me for comments or guesting on your show on this subject. Thank you all for your continued support and I hope to see you out for @unitedwrestling on 12/17 in Long Beach!”

Veda Scott took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that her planned debut at MLW Fightland has been canceled.

MLW had announced last week that Scott would debut as part of the MLW broadcast team at the November 18th event in Philadelphia, PA.

Scott tweeted, “As a matter of clarification, I will not be appearing with MLW this weekend. Thanks for the support – I’ll see everyone a bunch of other places this month!”

In the world of professional wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) is known for its intense matches and talented roster. One of the upcoming matches that fans are eagerly anticipating is the KOPW Championship match between SHO and Taichi. This match is set to take place at the New Japan Road show in Yamagata, Japan.

NJPW recently announced that Yoshinobu Kanemaru will serve as the guest referee for this title match. This decision was made based on a fan vote, with Kanemaru receiving 70.6% of the votes. As a guest referee, Kanemaru will play a crucial role in ensuring a fair and exciting match between SHO and Taichi.

In addition to the guest referee, there are several stipulations that have been set for this match. Taichi is forbidden from using certain moves such as the Dangerous Backdrop, Black Mephisto, Tenshi Jujiho, and sumo techniques. On the other hand, SHO is not allowed to use his signature moves like the Shooting Star Press, Phoenix Splash, Double Rotation Moonsault Press, and any System Sambo techniques. These stipulations add an extra layer of excitement and strategy to the match.

Furthermore, the stakes are high for both competitors as the loser of this match will be forbidden from ever wrestling in Yamagata again. This adds a sense of urgency and desperation to the match, as both SHO and Taichi will do everything in their power to secure victory and avoid being banned from Yamagata.

Fans have been eagerly following the developments leading up to this match, and the voting results for the guest referee have only added to the anticipation. With Kanemaru as the guest referee and the stipulations in place, this KOPW Championship match promises to be a thrilling and memorable event for NJPW fans.
