Sting Tried To Talk Darby Allin Out Of Climbing Mount Everest, Bandido’s Return Teased, MLW News

Darby Allin reveals that Sting has been attempting to dissuade him from his venture to ascend Mount Everest.

Allin, on a consistent basis, has voiced his aspiration to climb the notoriously strenuous and dangerous mountain. He plans to undertake the challenge in April 2025, following a halt due to a foot injury he sustained this year.

In a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo during the All In: Texas On Sale gathering, Darby acknowledged Sting’s efforts to discourage him from his Mt. Everest expedition.

Below are some highlighted points from the interview:

On Sting’s efforts to deter him from climbing: “He’s made attempts, but he realizes that I’m truly passionate about this. He then says ‘Okay dude, if you’re on a journey and want to accomplish something, go ahead do it.’”

On why the climb is significant to him: “For me, ascending Mount Everest involves a number of factors. It’s an exploration because when you’re forging a path up that mountain, you lack the energy for casual conversation as we’re having now. You can’t waste that energy, thus, you’re just isolated with your thoughts on this mountain for around two months. I believe that’s a truly humbling experience and I always want to dig down deep inside to remind myself of my capabilities and my identity. I am sanguine about this opportunity and deeply thankful to AEW for allowing me this midst my career.”

Meanwhile, Bandido is inching closer to his comeback to AEW, having featured in a recent snippet during Wednesday’s rendition of AEW Dynamite.

A clip from Wednesday’s show teased the wrestler’s impending return to TV. The snippet portrayed Bandido in a Wild West backdrop, where he managed to dodge and defeat several assailants.

We still await an update on the comeback of the former ROH World Champion, who has been off duty since June of the previous year.
