In a recent video posted on his own YouTube channel, Stevie Richards, an ex-WWE superstar, provided insight into the pay structure used by the organization.

While at WWE from 1999 until 2008, Richards revealed that his weekly net income came to around 2, this was after he had accounted for expenses like tax and travel.

Richards was clear in highlighting that these costs were not fixed and could change depending on several factors including accommodation and cost-sharing terms with travel companions.

The former wrestler explained that his weekly earnings before expenses were ,442, and went on to provide a comprehensive breakdown of how that figure was reached. He stated,

“Wrestlers choose to get paid ,000 a year downside. I chose to have that for the opportunity of hopefully making more or hopefully renegotiating a contract. Whenever I did renegotiate, it always went back down to ,000. My standard three years was 75(K), 75(K), 125(K). Every time we got towards the end of the second year, I was off TV or something happened and they needed to put me on another 75, 75, 125. Until my last one, which was three years at 75 and a few months later I was gone.”

In the video below, you can listen to Stevie Richard’s firsthand explanation about his earnings while he was a WWE Superstar.
