Professional wrestler Mick Foley recently revealed that his favorite match throughout his career was against Randy Orton at WWE Backlash 2004. Although he had previously indicated that his match with Shawn Michaels during In Your House: Mind Games was his favorite, Foley has now stated that the match with Orton is his top pick.
Discussing this during an episode of the “Wrestling Life Online” podcast, Foley explained that Orton showed immense potential during that match. He added, “80% of what I laid out that day ended up getting done… Maybe I can be one of those people for Randy and also do something special while I’m out there.”
Foley added, “This is before I even knew Rock was interested in teaming up at ‘Mania… Then I had the second chance, the main event with Randy in Edmonton, and it was my favorite match of my career.”
