Nitro announcer Tony Schiavone announced to the world that Mick Foley winning the WWF World Title would “put the butts in the seats“. It was a move that backfired amazingly. Fans flocked in droves to see the night’s main event, and many say it was the turning point that led to the WWF’s eventual victory.
