WWE Hall of Fame star, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, has candidly shared his thoughts about continuing in the wrestling ring, stating that he often reflects on his earlier wrestling days, but accepts it’s a field for the younger generation.
In a conversation on the “Unlikely” podcast, Austin opened up about his feelings on stepping back into the ring. Austin expressed his views saying, “The wrestling game, that’s a domain mainly for the younger ones. I did my best, dealt with injuries and then decided to retire. I had that encounter with Kevin Owens a couple of years ago and it’s been a while since. I have now turned my focus to reality.”
He further elaborated by saying, “Every now and then, I reminisce about it, but to actually go out try and recreate myself as I was during my peak years, when I was in beast mode, I consider myself a professional athlete, because that’s what I truly was. I was primarily a pro wrestler, a professional athlete performing at the highest level. It’s a challenging, physical job which is best fit for the younger ones.”
